Education:

​

Dr. Merritt has been in education for over 22 years.  She earned her B.S. in Education (Jackson State University, 2002); M.S. in Education (Mississippi Valley State University, 2004); Certification for Administration (Mississippi Department of Education’s MAPQSL Program, 2006); and Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership (Mississippi State University, 2011).  She has taught elementary, middle, & high school students.  She was an administrator at the middle school level for over 6 years, 2 1/2 years at central office level, and was the NLRO/Literacy Facilitator for New Summit School District at the Grenada Families Resource Center.  Shortly after, Dr. Merritt went back into the classroom to teach 9th graders Foundations for Algebra at Carroll County School District in Carrollton, MS, where she earned 2018-2019 Star Teacher at J.Z. George High School.  Dr. Merritt and her husband moved to in Camp Springs, MD in 2019, where she continued to promote her business while working as one of Prince George's County School District's finest educators.  In 2020, Dr. Merritt was afforded the opportunity to return to Mississippi to serve as Principal of The Coleman Middle School in Greenville, MS, "The Best Middle School in the Nation".  She currently serves as a 7th grade math teacher in Cordova, TN.  She earned level 5 status as a 7th grade math teacher 2022-2024. In 2024, 43% of her students scored met (proficient) or exceeding (advanced) on the TCAP assessment.  She is truly an advocate for all students to receive the best education possible.  She desires to serve, lead, and be the epitome of a great educator and leader.

 

Spiritual:

Dr. Merritt has been in church all of her life.  She accepted her calling and was licensed and ordained as God's Minister, February 10, 2013.  She has served as usher coordinator, a member of praise teams, deaconess, served on the finance committee, and all other duties asked of her.  She also released her first single entitled  "Endurance" January 10, 2019.  She loves preaching the word of God and singing praises to His name.  She walks by Faith and her life truly reflects that.  She knows that she is truly called by God to minister the Gospel, and she is not ashamed to tell the world about her Lord and Savior.  She has consulted with hundreds to help them change their lives and help find their purpose in life.  In May 2023, she earned her Missionary Evangelist licenses from Maryland Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ Missionary Academy-School of Licensing-Department of Women.  She is currently Evangelizing under the leadership of Pastor Brian King, Sr., and Lady Courtney King at Greater Bethesda Church in Clinton, MD.  

 

Public Speaking:

Dr. Merritt has been speaking since childhood.  She has encountered much throughout her life and speaks on topics to help influence the greater good in people.  She believes that TRANSPARENCY TRANSFORMS.  Therefore, when she speaks, she is very authentic and transparent.  She has host and spoken at several events on many different levels. She has been gifted with many talents such as:

Dr.  Merritt has many God-given talents and experiences and uses them as she sees fit to help as much as she can.  She captures the attention of the audience and she speaks to help transform lives and help others collide with their destiny.
